Great recipes! I'm loving everything I've read here!

I know this one might be an older post, but I thought I'd put in my 2-cents, in case someone stumbles here looking for info about Almond Flour/meal/etc.

I've bought my Almond flour from Bulk Barn in Montreal. Although it seemed a bit pricey at first ($7.98/pound blanched Almonds), when I really thought about it, the recipe I was using it for (French Macarons) didn't call for that much (maybe half a pound at most). And you don't have to wait for it to ship home :)

I also found a few great things they carry that I could not find anywhere else (coloured sugar crystals for one, by the colour and per pound).

Have you ever made this soup and pressured canned it? This recipe seems really good and I would love to attempt to can it.
Please let me know
Thanks

I've actually begun to experiment with new types of flour.... as far as coconut flour goes there is no way to remove the eggs.... If you are just baking them for someone who is okay with gluten but not with eggs I would suggest using regular flour and then adding ground flaxseed about a tbs ( though I would look this up). Flaxseed acts as a binding agent. If you are avoiding gluten then stay tuned... I will be posting some new things soon. Just moved so had to figure out the new oven!

Let me know if this helped at all!

We just had this salad for dinner and loved it! The flavour combinations work very well together. I especially love the idea of using bacon fat instead of oil for the dressing base. What an ingenious way to use up something that would probably be thrown out otherwise!
